SHREVEPORT, La. - It was another scorcher around the ArkLaTex today.  The high in Shreveport reached 101 shy of a record according to the National Weather Service.  Today was the 8th time over the century mark this summer.  7 is about average.

North ArkLaTex Weather Watcher Highs

Robert Morris in DeQueen, Tommy Lowe in Fulton, Arkansas plus both Jason Patterson and Brian Loper in Atlanta Texas were there.

Central ArkLaTex Weather Watcher Highs

Lenny Vowell in Karnack and Richard White in Minden saw 101 degrees.

Metro Weather Watcher Highs

Mike Lyles from Shreveport, Russell Teutsch in Bossier City and Bob Fentress near Princeton had highs of 101 to 102.

South ArkLaTex Weather Watcher Highs

Michelle Gullette in Ringgold, John Henry in Coushatta and Barry Howard in Clarence all saw highs above 100.

Texas Coast Weather Watcher Report

Bill Hicks in Rockport was the exception with only 80 degrees.
