SHREVEPORT, La. - Top soil, from the Saharan Desert in north Africa picked up by strong easterly winds in the Atlantic, made a 5,000 mile journey to the ArkLaTex arriving today!
Friday night's KTBS 3 Towercam shot from I-49 showed a very hazy downtown Shreveport skyline due to the Saharan dust.
The forecast from NASA shows it hanging around Saturday.
Then, the dust departs Sunday.
